Use of Facebook and Twitter at the office on the rise

“Findings that show rising levels of “active” Facebook usage inside workplaces come as the social network introduces its latest round of “frictionless applications” aimed at getting users to share more content, including the music they listen to and the products they buy.

As for Twitter, the report showed that browsing on the micro-blogging site jumped by more than 700 percent between late 2010 and late 2011, accounting for 22 percent of all corporate social networking bandwidth. Yet the report did not reveal any noticeable increase in employees who share content on Twitter…”

“There is an old saying that what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
FB and simlar social medium devices certainly do not disclose their own pertinent profiles, agenda, strategies and access informations. In fact, companies like Kickstarter.com who are taking in millions in pledges over the net are highly suspect in their endeavours.The lack of all sorts of disclosure is appalling and it looks like Bernie Madoff is back in the Tech business these days. As Deep Throat said, “just follow the money”. ..

In small town Indiana, not everyone “likes” facebook

Facebook V. Google… fueling the fued.

Facebook acknowledged that it hired a prominent public-relations firm to promote a negative story line about Google. It was supposed to be kept quiet that Facebook was the client behind the PR pitch.

While it was her 600 friends that caused this, her group now numbers over 5,000.
